I try to avoid the sun
When it flashes in my eyes
When it crashes my dreams
And exposes my vice

I like to avoid the sun
Because it confronts me
With my lighter fluffier twin
The one I can never be

I stay out of the sun
Smearing a film to protect
Covering all known pores
Flaws one may detect

I ignore the sun
Before it reflects me to me
Before it points as a gun
Scabs I will never see
